In an incident which would probably make even Chuck Norris envious, an Australian fisherman used nothing but a hand reel to catch a four metre tiger shark at the beach, something which took him two hours to accomplish.
Albany fisherman Brendon Hilder had come to the Shelley Beach to catch salmon. But the shark was scaring off the salmon. It was then that Hilder decided that he had had enough and it was time to catch the shark instead.
“The shark latched on (to the hook), starting a two-hour battle for supremacy,” said a report in The West Australian .
The video of Hilder struggling to reel in the shark went viral on the internet. Don’t worry though. After posing for a photograph with his catch, Hilder released the shark back into the ocean.
