Viral video: When Zombies took over Landmark Bangalore

by Nov 8, 2012

Every now and then, we’re reminded of the inevitability of the zombie apocalypse. The undead will come out of their graves, and dance around to the strains of Thriller before inevitably eating your brain.

It doesn’t hurt to be prepared.

Which is probably why Duckbill books is helpfully releasing a new series of books on zombies by Mainak Dhar, on the zombie apocalypse and the inevitable human resistance. More on that here.

They also organised a zombie educational flashmob set to Thriller (obviously) mixed up with a little Gangnam Style, completely surprising and delighting random book shoppers, many of whom whipped out their cameras and mobile phones to record the event.

The video also features an entirely too delighted baby boy who has no idea that these things can eat his brain.

Be warned however, that the shooting of this video leaves a lot to be desired. It’s jumpy, jerky movements might leave you feeling a little nauseous.

Duckbill books told Firstpost that the idea for the mob was arrived at during a meeting between the head of Landmark, Peter Newbolt, and CEO, Westland Books, Gautam Padmanabhan.

The dancers in the video are all human. Or so we’re told.
