Dinner plans: Alfredo pasta with bacon and broccoli

by Shaheen Peerbhai Jun 29, 2011

Italians frown upon this Americanised version of pasta, but that doesn’t stop us from eating our favourite cheese pasta. It does not matter what type of pasta you use fusilli, penne, spaghetti, whatever you have in your pantry.

To give it a garlic-y kick — add minced garlic to the recipe. You can also swap the broccoli for grilled asparagus. Serve with a side of mixed green tossed with lemon juice and olive oil.

Brief quote from the original source:

“Butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. That, my friends, is what makes a delicious Alfredo sauce. Well, that and a bit of garlic powder, salt, and pepper.”
