Bearded men more likely to cheat on their partners, get into fights, says study

If there is one thing which has been constantly associated with a man and often with his manliness, it is the beard. Although there is a section of men who have a beard because they are just too lazy to go through the task of shaving it off, there are also many men in the world who sport a beard proudly and look good with it. Some examples are Abraham Lincoln, Hugh Jackman, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor. (Of course, there are people like Anil Kapoor also who are the exceptions.) Men who have beards are more likely to cheat on their partner or get involved in a fight, according to a study, reported Independent. Eva and Censuswide, after carrying out a survey of 2,000 people, found that 47 percent of men with facial hair had cheated on their partner, while 20 percent of clean-shaven men had done the same. Moreover, the study says that 45 percent of the bearded men had been in a fight in comparison to only 39 percent of their non-bearded counterparts. More significantly, 65 percent of women surveyed said they would “never consider getting romantically involved with a beard-wearer,” reported Sunshine Coast Daily. “I’ve certainly noticed attitudes are shifting in regards to long beards and moustaches. Fashion changes so quickly, the beard trend is one that comes in every decade or so, but we might be seeing the end of current beard cycle,” the report quoted fashion photographer Jens Wilkhom as saying.
