Eight fire engines and the BMC disaster management team were rushed to the spot and all those trapped under debris were rescued.

The Mumbai police have registered a case of negligence against Larsen & Toubro , the company involved in the construction of the bridge.

Those injured, all labourers, have been admitted to hospital and are now out of danger.

In September last year, one person was killed and eight injured when a section of the under-construction Mumbai Metro bridge collapsed in Andheri East.
