A Mumbai-based model and a former Miss Chennai was found murdered in her Andheri home late on Monday night. The 23-year-old’s body, which bore injury marks by a sharp weapon, was found by her husband.
Bidushi Dash Barde, 23, was born in Odisha but was mostly raised in Chennai. According to a CNN IBN report, the police have ruled out possibilities of robbery as no valuables seemed to be missing and there was no sign of forced entry.
The Air Force official’s daughter was a patient of diabetes, which led the police to initially suspect her of collapsing from complications. However, the initial post-mortem suggested she was stabbed, leading the police to register a murder case.
The deceased’s husband, who returned home at around 8 in the evening from work entered the apartment with a duplicate key to find Bidushi lying in a pool of blood. Kedar Barde reportedly told the police that he used the key to enter the apartment after ringing the bell repeatedly in vain.
Bidushi’s neighbours told police that they had seen a man visit the apartment in the afternoon of Bidushi’s murder. Bidushi and Kedar got married three years back and had moved to Mumbai one-and-half-years back.
