After a vitriolic communal speech that resulted in a case being filed against him, MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi returned to India yesterday and has sought four days' time to surrender to the police in connection with the case.
The state's doctors are expected to question him at his Hyderabad residence today, after which they could decide on their next course of action.
The MIM leader had filed a writ petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court seeking a stay on arrest and filing of more FIRs on similar grounds.
