Media reports say that Goa Police are investigating a postcard with “ISIS initials” which threatens to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
The postcard reached the Goa secretariat earlier this month when the winter session was on.
Investigating officers have confirmed that the letter originated from the post office at Panaji, and efforts are on to trace the sender.
“It is very important to trace the sender. Though anyone can scribble ISIS, they could be a member of the organisation or could be indoctrinated with its ideology,” a senior officer told The Indian Express.
Goa Police have circulated this letter to all the police stations in the state and handed over the case to the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS).
The letter has expressed anger over ban on cow slaughter in the country.
