Sangita Pawar, the four-year-old girl who was abducted from the busy Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai on 10 June has reportedly been found in Hardiwar, Uttarakhand.
"He kidnapped the kid aiming to use her for begging. He says that people give more almn when one begs with a small kid," Arun Joshi of the Haridwar police told reporters.
The police claimed to have arrested one person in connection with the case and said the girl was found at the Haridwar Roadways bus station.
This comes a day after the Mumbai police released footage of the girl being kidnapped at the busy rail terminus on the night of 10 June.
However, the Mumbai police is still to confirm that the girl found in Haridwar is Sangita Pawar.
