BJP, Cong in Gujarat take political battle to social media

The BJP and the Congress, while trying to woo youngsters through social media, has been almost waging war on each other on the web.

Narendra Modi's social media team has put much thought into its campaign strategy. Even if you are not a registered member of the BJP, you can personally meet Modi with the most number of posts, reported CNN-IBN.

Modi has always been very social media savvy with his prompt Twitter feeds and Facebook updates.

The Congress too is not far behind. It launched the website Join Hands for Change, where people can express their grievances and share comments, said the CNN-IBN report. The website is connected to social networking sites.

Both the parties have been allegedly flooding social networking sites with pages for candidates and political messages.

President of the Rajkot unit of the Congress Party, Indranil Rajyaguru, had earlier said that he is inviting the youth to visit his page and read about his ideas before casting their votes for him.

With all the websites in place, lets wait and watch for the winner in the virtual world.
