World T20: Pakistan win, Australia qualify for semis

Colombo, Oct 2 (IANS) Pakistan beat Australia by 32 runs in their World Twenty20 Super Eights tie at the R Premadasa Stadium here Tuesday but the latter qualified for the semifinals on the basis of their net run rate.

Pakistan, by winning the match, have kept themselves in contention for the last four which will be decided on the basis of the India vs South Africa match later.

Naser Jamshed top-scored for Pakistan with a 46-ball 55, including four boundaries and two sixes.

Pakistan scored 149 for six while Australia could garner only 117 for seven in the allotted 20 overs.
