Toe injury sidelines Sreesanth for five months

May 3, 2012

New Delhi: India pacer S Sreesanth has been ruled out of action for five months due to injuries to both his toes that will require two surgeries.

“Got to get 2 surgery (on both my toes) will be out of the game for 5 months..hopefully will try to get back soon..Take care..thanks a lot,” Sreesanth tweeted.

The temperamental bowler last played for India in the Test series in England last summer, and has only played one first-class match before picking up the toe injury.

Sreesanth, who had preferred ayurvedic treatment instead of going for a surgery in December last, had originally hoped to be fit in time for the CB series in Australia earlier this
year.

Sreesanth ruling himself out means Rajasthan Royals will have to do without the fast bowler in this Indian Premier League season.
