The US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta during his New Delhi trip this year “expressed gratitude for India’s willingness to support a future and stable Afghanistan going forward,” the Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said yesterday.

“It’s my understanding that India has provided some assistance to Afghanistan, in the form of training and other facilities, and we would welcome that effort in the future,” Little said.
