Aug 22, 2012

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today said that women could get work from Self Help Groups and earn money staying at home.

These women would be helped to connect with the government’s Swarna Jayanti Gram Self-employment Scheme, he said.

Industry Secretary A P Singh said the scheme would help the beneficiaries earn Rs 200 to Rs 250 per day and monthly
income of about Rs 6,000 to their families.

“Jharcraft – government undertaking which promotes handloom products – will help providing market for the
beneficiaries to sell their produce. Each SHG will get free solar machine and other tools. Their earnings will be
transferred to their bank accounts,” Singh added.
