SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Intel Corp posted second-quarter revenue of $13.5 billion and net earnings of $2.8 billion, or 54 cents a share, as the personal computer industry wrestles with troubled economies and consumers shift toward tablets.
The world’s largest chipmaker estimated third-quarter revenue of $14.3 billion, plus or minus $500 million. Analysts had expected $13.56 billion in revenue for the second quarter and $14.60 billion for the current quarter, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
