New Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS) Minister of State for Home Affairs Jitendra Singh said here Friday that the central government was committed to the development of Manipur.
“Building and repairing national highways in the state to improve connectivity is on the priority of the government,” said Singh while speaking to a group of Manipuri students from the state’s border district of Moreh.
The students are on a national integration tour under Operation Sadbhavna by the Assam Rifles. They came to Delhi Oct 19 and will be here till Oct 28.
The Assam Rifles organises national integration tours as a part of Operation Sadbhavna aimed at winning the hearts and minds of local populations in conflict zones of the northeast.
