Aug 29, 2012

London: So you thought it was only the young who get hooked to Facebook? According to the social networking site, its oldest registered user is a 101-year-old US woman.

Women over the age of 55 is the fastest growing demographic among the 955 million active Facebook users, The Telegraph reported. Florence Detlor from Menlo Park, California is the social network’s oldest registered user.

She also became the oldest person to visit Facebook’s headquarters in Silicon Valley, California. Detlor was greeted by Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg as well as Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook during her tour of Facebook recently.
