“Delhi government is not in a position to implement FDI in retail as it doesn’t have majority. And EDMC is an important ally on this as it the licences were given by it,” said EDMC Mayor Annapurna Mishra.

Following the Centre’s decision to allow FDI in retail many states had opposed it but others, including Delhi, have expressed willingness to open their doors.
