Jul 11, 2012

Los Angeles: Rockers Coldplay will debut a new comic book series at the upcoming Comic-Con convention in San Diego, California.

The six-part concept will chronicle the story of the group’s latest album Mylo Xyloto and it will be published by The Simpsons creator Matt Groening’s Bongo Comics Group.

Martin and his bandmates teamed up with Academy Award-nominated writer and director Mark Osborne on the
project, which they conceived three years ago, reported Rolling Stones magazine.

“It is the story of Mylo Xyloto, a young Silencer on the front lines of a war against sound and colour in the world of Silencia. Mylo discovers that the enemy he’s been trained to hate his whole life might not be the enemy after all. There will hopefully be many, many connections for people who have heard the album,” said Osborne.

The filmmaker will appear at a Comic-Con panel on July 13 to officially launch the series.
