Cloudy morning in Delhi, rains expected

New Delhi, July 21 (IANS) It was a cloudy morning in the capital Saturday with the minimum temperature settling just two notches above the season’s average at 28.6 degrees Celsius. The met department has forecast light rains during the day.

“The skies in the city will remain cloudy. Light rains and thundershowers are expected during the day,” an India Meteorological Department official said.

The maximum temperature Saturday is likely to hover around 35 degrees Celsius, the official added.

Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 76 percent.

Friday’s maximum temperature was three notches above the average for this time of the season at 36.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 32.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season’s average.
