Tata group firm Trent reported 24.61 percent increase in its stand-alone net profit for the quarter ended 30 June at Rs 12.76 crore.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 10.24 crore in the corresponding period last year, Trent said in a filing to the BSE.
The standalone net income of the company during the first quarter also went up by 22.56 per cent to Rs 218.71 crore from Rs 178.45 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
The shares of the company closed 2.25 percent down at Rs 985.50 apiece on the BSE.
