Jaipur: Qualified unemployed candidates who are registered with the state government will get an allowance in Rajasthan from 1 July.
Under the scheme, normal candidates will get unemployment allowance of Rs 500 per month and differently abled candidates will get Rs 600 for a maximum period of two years, according to an official.
The decision was part of the budget announcement which will be executed from 1 July this year. The candidate should be a graduate and resident of the state.
There is no minimum age criteria but maximum age limit for general candidates will be 30 and 35 for females and candidates of ST/SC and differently abled candidates.
The candidates' registration in employment exchange for at least one year is required to get the benefit and he/she should not be a beneficiary of any scholarship or any other allowance.
The government will cover maximum one lakh candidates in every year and elderly candidates will get priority if number of the candidates goes above one lakh.
