Sao Paulo: The son of Formula One legend Alain Prost has revealed that his father "cried a lot" following the death of rival Ayrton Senna.
Nicolas Prost said his father and Senna, who died in a 1994 crash, sorted out their differences following Prost's retirement from racing in 1993, reports Xinhua.
"He cried a lot and for a long time," said the 31-year-old.
"They had a sporting rivalry but it ended when my dad finished his career. I don't like it when people say there was more to it than there really was."
Nicolas Prost, also a professional racing driver, is currently in Brazil to compete in the Six Hours of Interlagos event.
He revealed that his father, who won the Formula One drivers' championship four times, often reminisced about three-time World Champion Senna.
"My dad talks a lot about Senna to me. He didn't like it when Senna beat him, but that is normal in sport.
"Things happened between them but in the end they became good friends. People should remember that."
