20 booked on drug charges in Goa over three months

Panaji, July 20 (IANS) Eight Nigerians, one Sudanese and one Ghanaian were among the 20 people booked in narcotics raids in Goa in the last three months.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said in a written reply in the state assembly that 20 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act had been filed in the last three months.

The Nigerian nationals have been booked for possession of a range of drugs, cocaine, charas and ganja.

The others who have been booked on drug charges belong to Karnataka, Bihar, Assam, West Bengal and Goa.
