Why isn't Dhoni using Yuvraj on turning pitches in World T20: Yograj Singh ahead of Australia clash

FP Sports, Mar, 27 2016

Ahead of India's all important World T20 match against Australia, a quarter-final for all practical purposes, Yograj Singh, former cricketer, actor, and father of Yuvraj Singh, has come out and lambasted India captain MS Dhoni, again.

Yograj did not mince words while making his displeasure clear over Dhoni not employing Yuvraj's bowling abilities and demoting him in the batting order in the thriller against Bangladesh.

"What the f*** is happening? What is the captain trying to prove?" he told Mid-Day, questioning Dhoni's decision to demote Yuvraj to No. 7, while also expecting the all-rounder to perform.

Yograj also slammed Dhoni for not using Yuvraj's part-time spin in the ongoing World T20, despite the nature of tracks in the competition and Yuvraj's past-success as a part-timer.

"If he (Dhoni) does not like him, he should bloody well tell the selectors about it. If he has got anything personal with him, he can take it out, but by doing this, you are destroying the team. Imagine Yuvraj not bowling on such turning wickets where he has claimed 15 wickets in the 2011 World Cup. The world is watching this," he said.

Yograj also alleged that his son was being mistreated and that it had caused a "great pain" in his heart. He also questioned Yuvraj's ouster from the Indian team and said selectors must use the same yardstick for everyone.

This is not the first time Yograj has spoken against Dhoni and his issue with Dhoni is no secret. He had compared Dhoni to 'Ravana' and said there would be a day when Dhoni will be left to "beg" and "become penniless", after Yuvraj's exclusion from the 2015 World Cup squad.

"Dhoni was nothing. He has become a God in cricket just because of media. Media has crowned him as a great which he never deserved. There was a time when he had nothing but today he sits in front of media and rips off the media persons. He laughs at media who has given him so much hype. He laughs at the Indian people who clap when he scores a run," Yograj had said at the time. "Honestly, if I were a media person, I would have slapped Dhoni right there."

However, Yuvraj had distanced himself from his fathers comments on Twitter and had maintained he enjoyed friendly relations with the India captain and didn't blame him for his exclusion from the squad.

With a crucial match ahead tonight, the Indian fans would be hoping that Yograj's comments don't come as a distraction and shake up the team chemistry.
