Veteran Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad is at the centre of yet another controversy.

Just a few weeks ago, he lashed out at BCCI president Anurag Thakur for his comments on the ongoing tension between India-Pakistan. He had then suggested that former captain Shahid Afridi was motivated by money to play his final game for Pakistan. Now, he has accused gone and accused Afridi of match fixing, a suggestion that was promptly slammed by Afridi.

The accusation came after Afridi took a potshot at Miandad during a press conference. Afridi was asked about Miandad's comments on his farewell match, to which the former Pakistan captain replied saying, "Money has always been an issue with Javed Miandad. That's the difference between him and Imran Khan," according to a report on Geo TV.

Miandad certainly didn't take to that remark kindly and called Afridi a match-fixer.

"I tell Afridi to swear upon his children and say he has not thrown away Pakistan's matches. I am a witness, I caught him myself," the former Pakistan coach was quoted as saying by another Geo TV report.

Afridi, a veteran of 398 ODIs and 98 T20Is, has faced severe criticism during his long career for Pakistan. However, this time around he felt that Miandad has crossed a line and publicly expressed his displeasure over the controversial comments in a series of tweets.

According to Saj Sadiq, Chief editor of  PakPassion, Afridi will send a legal notice to Miandad for accusing him of match-fixing.
