Blind T20 World Cup: President Pranab Mukherjee calls India's win a 'source of inspiration' for all

New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee has congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the T-20 Blind World Cup as he called their victory a special source of inspiration for all differently abled people.

Mukherjee wrote a letter to the team Captain Ajay Kumar Reddy and said: "I write to convey my hearty congratulations to you and your team for the spectacular victory in the T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind-2017. I also convey my compliments to your coach, Patrick Rajkumar.

"Your success is a matter of great pride for the nation. This victory is the result of grit and determination displayed by the team."

The President said their win "will be a source of inspiration to both sportspersons as well as all differently abled people who aspire for success in sports."

"Please convey my felicitations to all members of your team. I wish your coach, you and every member of your team continued success in the future," he said.

The Indian team won the T20 Blind World Cup for the second successive time, defeating Pakistan on both the occasions.
