'Anil Kumble far too good a bloke to lose': Former players, fans react on Twitter after his resignation

FP Sports, Jun, 21 2017

After Anil Kumble's resignation as India's coach after an alleged feud between him and Virat Kohli, members of the cricketing world have expressed their displeasure at the turn of events.

Kumble had been given a one-year contract in 2016 as India's coach after Cricket Advisory Committee(CAC), comprising of Kumble's former teammates Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman, decided on his name.

While it seemed that the partnership between Kumble and Kohli was working, with India performing well in the last 12 months, reports of a rift between the two started doing the rounds before ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Kumble's contract was set to expire after India's Champions Trophy campaign but instead of extending it, he chose to step down.

Take a look at how some of the former cricketers reacted to Kumble's resignation as India's head coach.

Some other famous personalities were also not amused by the news.

Journalists and media personalities too expressed their disappointment.

Indian fans were quite unhappy, and even angry, after hearing the news.
