  • 184 is what World XI need to win the series. The pitch is showing signs of slowing down and it will be extremely difficult for them to chase this total. Can we expect the unexpected? Stay tuned...
  • A poor start, then a brief comeback only to be followed by a horrendous finish. This was the story of World XI's bowling attack tonight. No one impressed, apart from Darren Sammy, who somehow managed to get away with an economy of just 6 in the blitzkrieg.
  • In the 16th over, Pakistan were 127/1. But Morne Morkel's over after that was the momentum-changer, which went for 15 runs. Then Shehzad started to tee off and could have got to a century had Azam sacrificed his wicket. The latter had another good innings, finishing on 48, adding to his tally of wonderful scores.
  • It was a good batting display from Pakistan this time. The openers started well, till a freakish run out made them apart and then, it was the Shehzad-Azam show. The duo added 102 for the second wicket, in just 57 balls which kept World XI at bay. There was a brief period in the middle when the tourists seemed to be making a comeback but Azam's drop on 22 spoilt that.
  • Not a bad finish by the home side which was looking a bit behind during the middle overs. 66 runs came in the last 5, for the loss of 3 wickets. Once again, World XI have struggled at the death.
  • 19.6 And it stays a good last over! This ball is punched off the back foot towards sweeper cover for a run. 8 runs from this over apart from the two wickets! PAKISTAN END ON 183/4!
  • Skipper SARFRAZ AHMED walks in next.
  • 19.5 OUT! Gone! Another one in the over! Perera lands it on a length around off, Wasim looks to go over covers a la Azam. Ends up spooning an easy catch to a backtracking Faf du Plessis, who makes no mistake. Imad goes without troubling the scorers. This is turning out to be a good over in the context of the game.
  • 19.4 Full ball around middle and leg, driven back to the bowler.
  • 19.3 Bowls it outside off, Malik slaps it through point for a run.
  • 19.2 SIX! Huge, nonchalant, maximum! Perera bowls a low full toss around leg, Malik just helps it over deep square leg for a biggie! That looked effortless.
  • 19.1 OUT! What a start to the last over! Azam misses out on a fifty! Perera bowls a length ball outside off, Babar looks to go over covers. He gets the elevation but fails to get the distance. Faf du Plessis backtracks from covers and takes it safely to end the batsman's stay at the crease. That's the end of a well played knock from Azam. Perera strikes!
  • THISARA PERERA to bowl the last over.
  • 18.6 Short ball around off, pulled away in front of square on the leg side for a brace. 175/2
  • 18.5 SIX! That's out of here! Morkel bowls it full around middle, Malik just lofts it over long off for a biggie! That looks so easy to the eye!
  • 18.4 Full ball around leg, Malik looks to hit but misses.
  • 18.3 Bowled outside off, Azam drives it through covers. The fielder puts in a dive but is unable to prevent a run.

  • 18.1 Bowls it in line of the stumps, Azam works it through square leg for a run.
  • 17.6 This ball is worked away to fine leg for a run. An enterprising over comes to an end! 22 runs and a run out from the same. 164/2
  • SHOAIB MALIK walks in at the fall of the second wicket.
  • 17.6 OUT! Run out! What a way to get dismissed! Cutting bowls it down the leg side, Azam looks to flick but misses. Ahmed from the other end comes down searching for a run. Bailey sees this and throws it to the bowler who hits the stumps at the bowler's end to catch the batsmen well short. Should Azam have sacrificed his wicket? Perhaps. The 102-run partnership ends and so does the 89-run knock of Shehzad. A wide signalled.
  • 17.5 Bowls it around middle, a run taken to long on.
  • 17.4 SIX! Another biggie! Three-in-three! The tall Cutting bowls it full outside off, Shehzad goes down low and paddles it over fine leg for another biggie! This is great batting and a treat to watch! The 100-run stand between these two is up! What a partnership this has been.

  • 16.4 FOUR! The third in the over! And the best of the lot! Morkel bowls it full outside off, Shehzad gets across and paddles it over short fine leg for another boundary. This is getting worse for the Protea giant now!
  • 16.3 FOUR! EDGY BUT EFFECTIVE! Morkel bowls it around middle and leg, Shehzad looks to belt it away but only manages to get an inside edge. The ball races past the leg stump and goes quickly to the fence.
  • 16.2 Length ball outside off, guided towards third man for a run.
  • 16.1 FOUR! Again a boundary to welcome Morkel! Length ball outside off, Azam slams it over wide mid off and the ball races away to the fence in no time.
  • MORNE MORKEL is back into the attack. Would be interesting to see how he bowls at the death.
  • 15.6 Bowled on the pads, flicked to fine leg for a run. 127/1
  • 15.5 Bowls it in line of the stumps, Shehzad slogs it away towards deep mid-wicket for a run. He's playing these shots wildly which shouldn't be the case.
  • 15.4 This ball is played back towards the bowler.
  • 15.3 NOT OUT! Perera bowls it in line of the stumps, Shehzad slogs it wildly in front of square on the leg side. They take a run and go for the second. Miller hurls a throw to the keeper who whips the bails and ask the question. The umpire refers it upstairs. Replays show that Ahmed's well in. He gets a couple of runs.

  • 14.4 Floats it outside off, Ahmed pushes it through covers for one run.
  • 14.3 Shortish ball around off, pulled through square leg for a run. 50-run stand off just 37 deliveries between these two. They should look to carry on.

  • TEAM CHANGES - For World XI, George Bailey and Darren Sammy come in for Tim Paine and Paul Collingwood. Interesting choice as Bailey would be keeping wickets today. The lack of wicketkeeping options has made him don the gloves. For Pakistan, Hasan Ali is fit and replaces Sohail Khan.
  • Pakistan captain, SARFRAZ AHMED says that he will now look to put a good total on board. Admits that the execution with the ball was not correct in the previous game and they will look to correct those mistakes tonight. Also says that Hasan Ali is back, so that helps. On the target, he says that they will first assess the conditions in the first 10 overs and then see how to go from there. Has a lot of praise for Babar Azam and hopes he maintains his consistency. Thanks the crowd which seems to be filling in by the minute and the police for maintaining high security.
  • World XI skipper, FAF DU PLESSIS, says that it looks like a good wicket and their batting is their strength. Adds that they have power in their arsenal as they are fortunate to have a few power hitters in the side. If they can keep the required run rate under 12/13 towards the end, they could do well he reckons. He ends saying that they would try and take wickets upfront even tonight.
  • TOSS - World XI win the toss and choose to bowl.
  • PITCH REPORT - Pommie Mbangwa says that these are good conditions. Adds that the surface was the driest in the opening game. He reckons that this one's dry but looks like it will be good for batting and wouldn't change much under lights. Opines that batting first is the way to go.
