  • A target of 335 has been set in front of India. The hosts possess a deep batting line-up but the Australian bowlers have persisted consistently with good lines, not allowing the Indian batsmen to get the better of them. So stay tuned for the big chase, which will be coming up shortly!
  • Kedar Jadhav was the one who provided the breakthrough and then Umesh Yadav rattled the Aussies with a 4-wicket haul. Rest of the bunch weren't too impressive and went for more than 6 runs per over. Travis Head and Peter Handscomb saw off the tricky period after the mini-collapse and the Aussies revived themselves with a strong finish. The latter played a major part in it as they scored 58 runs off the last 5 overs.
  • The pendulum swung from Australia to India and back in Australia's favour in the end. The visitors started off in dazzling fashion, tearing the Indian bowling apart and raising a 231-run stand. In that partnership, David Warner scored his 14th ton while his partner Aaron Finch fell just 6 runs short of his century. Both these batsmen fell on the same score and that opened the gates for India to come back.

  • MATTHEW WADE strides out to bat!
  • 48.5 OUT! What a comeback from Umesh Yadav! He comes steaming in from over the wicket and keeps it a touch ahead of a length, outside off. Handscomb swings his bat in hope of connecting another, but his bat is nowhere near the ball this time. Finds his off stick rattled and Handscomb has to walk back to the hut. A handy cameo comes to an end!

Informs that every guy is eager to perform and this series is not the end of the road for them. Ends by saying that every game is a motivation for them as each international game counts. Mentions that Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav have made way for Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Axar Patel.
  • Steven Smith says that he will bat first. Reckons that the wicket has changed a bit since they revamped the ground and he feels that it will slow up during the second half. • TOSS - Australia win the toss and elect to bat.
  • The visitors on the other hand have had a series to forget and they will be dying to get a win under their belt. Warner playing his 100th ODI today will look to create a spark in the contest as they have been lacking it a lot. The last time these two sides played here, Rohit Sharma went berserk as he smashed a swashbuckling 209 which India won by 57 runs. Currently it is not raining and hopefully we will get a full game of cricket. Stay tuned for the toss.
  • Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of the 4th ODI between India and Australia in Bengaluru. The hosts have already sealed the series and they will now be looking to make it ten wins in a row in ODIs. They might as well tinker with the starting XI but with the momentum they have, the Indians still are the favourites.
  • So that's it from us for this game. Australia have finally got back to winning ways and they will hope to continue in the same momentum. With that loss, India have dropped to number two in the ICC ODI rankings but a win in the next game would bring them back on top. Hope you liked our coverage. Join us back for the final ODI on 1st October in Nagpur. Until then, goodbye and cheers.
  • Man of the Match, David Warner says that it always feels fantastic to get smile on the Australian faces. • Steve Smith with a big smile on his face says that it was a nice result. Praises Warner and Finch, who were spectacular and set up the platform for them to get to 330. Mentions that they lost a few wickets again but Handscomb was pretty good in the death overs. Admits that they were too wide with the new ball but pulled things back nicely in the end. On Warner, he says that it's always nice to watch the southpaw, especially in the ODIs, where he has got better with time and is in spectacular run of form.

Informs that spinners might have their off days and this was one of them. Applauds Australia for playing a better brand of cricket today. Adds that bowling slow was the only way to bowl on this wicket. Ends by saying that Australia was the better team on the day.
  • The Australian bowling lacked discipline at the start but made up for it later on. Kane Richardson led the pace attack, picking up another 3-fer in the series. He was superb with his off-paced deliveries and deceived batsmen more often than not. Cummins and Coulter-Nile provided a good hand to them with 3 wickets between them and also with some superb death bowling. Head chipped in with some tidy overs too, which kept the scoreboard pressure on the opposition while Zampa got the better of dangerous Pandya once again. Presentation coming up...
  • Australia came back well after the initial phase but a 78-run stand between Jadhav and Pandya got the chase back on track. The latter departed but it didn't dent the hosts as local lad, Pandey stood tall and rose a 61-run partnership with Jadhav. They made full use of this as Dhoni couldn't finish things off and the tail couldn't create anything spectacular.
  • Finally the monkey is off Australia's back as they have ended their winless run away from home. India started the chase superbly. The openers were off to a flier. They added 106 runs with both the batsmen completing their half centuries. Rahane was the first one to fall as he tried to cut loose whereas Sharma fell next due to a confusion in the middle between him and the skipper.
