  • Shakib Al Hasan to bowl from the other end.
  • If not for the experienced duo of Shakib and Tamim, the hosts would have been bowled out pretty early than this. The experienced pair guided their side through the turbulent tides by stitching a vital 155-run stand. Both missed out on their centuries but have done the job their side was hoping for. There are still 9 overs to go in the day and if at all they can manage to pick up a wicket or two, you never know they can drag the momentum back towards them. Stay tuned as the second innings is about to get underway...
  • After two competitive sessions in the day, Bangladesh have crumbled as they lost the plot towards the end. Losing last 4 wickets for just 20 runs would have given the upper hand to the Aussies. After Pat Cummins set the tone for them early this morning, the spin duo did the cleaning work towards the end and have managed to restrict the hosts from reaching the 300-run mark.
  • 78.5 OUT! BANGLADESH ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 260! Ashton Agar serves a loopy ball outside off, Islam clears his front leg to go big down the ground but ends up mistiming it high in the air towards mid on. Hazlewood stationed there, nicely gets underneath it and takes the catch to perfection.
  • 78.4 Flat and quick outside off, Islam gets an outside edge as he looks to defend. The ball rolls towards point.
  • 78.3 Shorter in length outside off, defended off the back foot.
  • 78.2 FOUR! That's clumsy effort from Cummins! Agar drops it short and wide outside off, Islam's eyes light up as he slaps it towards backward point. Cummins is lazy to stop it as the ball races away to the fence. This will hurt the Aussies.
  • 78.1 FOUR! Swings and gets the result! Tossed up delivery around middle, Islam swings hard across the line and dumps it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
  • 77.6 Turning away from outside off, Rahman hangs his bat out in defense only to get beaten. 252/9
  • 77.5 The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 77.4 Around middle and off, blocked into the ground.
  • 77.3 Fuller outside off, Islam looks to sweep but misses.

He comes from around the wicket and sends in a quicker full ball around middle and off, Islam prods forward to defend but misses and is hit on the back pad. Lyon turns back to appeal and sees the umpire's finger going up. He is down on one knee and celebrates.

  • 74.3 OUT! It's pad first! The on-field call has to be overturned! What a review from the Aussies. Agar drifts it around off, it skids on as Hossain lunges forward to defend it by keeping his bat and pad together. Ashton Agar is confident and appeals long and hard for it. Umpire Nigel Llong shakes his head. Agar feels it's pad first and hence convinces his skipper to take the review. Ultra Edge confirms it is pad first and then the bat. After that, the Ball Tracker shows three reds. That's it for Hossain as he continues to walk back.

  • Taijul Islam walks in next.
  • 71.3 OUT! Lyon goes past Richie Benaud in terms of wickets! That's a special feat. Spinning back into the pads from outside off, Mehedi Hasan gets forward to defend it. Misses it completely and the ball lobs off the pads towards Handscomb at short leg. The players appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Mehedi is disappointed and the replays show why. The ball was nowhere close to the bat and the Ultra Edge proved that. Hasan can only blame his fellow teammates for wasting the reviews. Can Australia restrict Bangladesh under 300?

  • ... Day 1, Session 3 ...
  • The hosts will again have to start from scratch whereas the Aussies would be looking to keep chipping away at the wickets as they have gotten the opening they needed. Anything near to 300 will be a challenging total on this surface. Let's wait and see what the final session has in store. Join us shortly for that.
  • A session shared by both the teams but Bangladesh will be a bit happier of the two. Shakib and Iqbal started off really well and negotiated the first hour after lunch with comfort, scoring their respective fifties. But the drinks break turned the tide and Maxwell soon got into the act and dismissed Tamim. Lyon too joined the party later and got the back of Shakib who was looking really settled in the middle as he didn't allow the all-rounder to reach the three-figure mark.

  • 54.2 Pushed to the cover region by the batsman.
  • 54.1 Edged and away! On a back of a length and zipping off the surface, Rahim is taken by surprise as he looks to fend it away. The ball takes the outside part of the bat and runs past the slip cordon for a couple.
  • Nasir Hossain is the next man in!
  • 53.6 OUT! No hundred for Shakib too! Nathan Lyon strikes at last! He drops it on a shorter length around off, it turns away with extra bounce. All this while Shakib Al Hasan was lucky to not nick it but this time he loses his patience. Gets an outside edge to it at first slip where Steven Smith takes the catch. He throws the ball upwards and is absolutely elated. Shakib walks back with a forlorn face. Lyon also equals Richie Benaud's tally of 248 wickets in Tests. 188/5

  • 50.4 Shortish outside off, Shakib rides the bounce as he guides it through point for a single.
  • 50.3 Good shot and fielded well too! Fuller in length and outside off, Shakib shows the full face of the bat as he caresses it through mid off. Warner gives it a chase and does well to keep them down to two.
  • 50.2 Leading edge... safe! Fuller and straightening a bit after pitching, Shakib looks to flick it away but closes the bat face early. The ball goes off the leading edge and falls safely towards mid on.
  • 50.1 Fuller on middle and leg, pushed towards mid on.
  • 49.6 That spun! It was pitched outside off, it spun in with a good amount of bounce. Rahim rocks back to defend but then is undone by the spin. Somehow manages to keep it out. 175/4
  • 49.5 Stays back footed and defends it down watchfully.
  • 49.4 FOUR! Risky! Maxwell fires it full and outside off, Rahim gets down to play the reverse sweep and just manages to get it over the backward point fielder for a boundary.
  • 49.3 Tossed up outside off, Rahim comes forward to block it out.
  • 49.2 Goes back and dabs it wide of the point fielder for a single.

  • 46.4 Hazlewood bangs in a short ball on middle and off, Mushfiqur ducks under it.
  • 46.3 A bit fuller outside off, driven towards cover.
  • 46.2 Marginally ahead of a length outside off, stabbed from within the crease.
  • 46.1 Almost drags it on! No luck for Hazlewood here. He's running in hard and creating chances. Let me tell you, he was the prime reason for the wicket to fall. In his previous over he troubled the batsman to an extent which ultimately led to Tamim's downfall. Now he drops it on a back of a length, Rahim tries to keep it out off the back foot but the ball catches the toe-end of the bat and just bounces over the stumps. Josh has his hands on his head.
  • 45.6 Short and gripping in, pulled through mid-wicket by the Bangladeshi skipper to get off the mark. 166/4

  • 45.3 OUT! Glenn Maxwell gets the breakthrough. A much-needed one! He drops it a bit short around off, it turns away further with a bit of bounce. Tamim Iqbal goes back to cut but delays his shot a touch. Slices it uppishly towards backward point where David Warner takes a dolly. Rejoice for the Aussies. It is also Warner's 50th Test catch! Oh hold on! Tamim was waiting near the boundary rope as umpire wanted to check for the no ball. Replays roll in and it shows Maxwell's landing is fine. Now Tamim is given the marching order. The 155-run stand comes to an end.
  • 45.2 A shout for an LBW again! Quicker through the air around middle and off, Iqbal comes forward to defend but gets an inside edge.
  • 45.1 Lands it around middle, gets a bit of turn and bounce as Tamim defends it off the top half of the bat.
  • 44.6 Another brilliant delivery! Yorker on leg, Shakib misses and wears it on the pads. A stifled appeal but it was going down leg. Hazlewood gives a stare to Shakib, maybe saying - "hey mate you are in for a contest". 165/3
  • 44.5 Fuller on leg, nudged away towards the on side.
  • 44.4 FOUR! Superb! There was a hint of reverse but Hazlewood sprayed it a bit too wide outside off. Shakib Al Hasan latches on to it as he drives it over a leaping Renshaw at short extra cover for a boundary.
  • 44.3 What a delivery, that! Hazlewood fires in a perfect yorker at the bat of middle and leg. Tamim Iqbal is quick to get his bat down in time. The ball goes off the inside edge on the pads towards backward square leg and they run a single. Josh turns back and appeals long and hard but the umpire shakes his head. Replays show Tamim did manage to get a bit of wood on it.
  • 44.2 A bit fuller outside off, Iqbal shoulders his arms to that one.
  • 44.1 FOUR BYES! That's not impressive from Wade! Hazlewood lands it on a back of a length around off, it jags away a bit to square the opener up. The ball nearly takes the outside edge and Wade behind the stumps fails to collect it. The ball goes off his gloves and races down to the fence.
  • Time for Drinks! Another hour belonging to Bangladesh! They have been really fantastic with the bat and except a couple of hiccups, Shakib and Iqbal have looked really comfortable in the middle. Australia will need to break this partnership to impose some pressure on the opposition. A vital hour awaits.
  • 43.6 Shakib stays in his crease and punches it towards the fielder at point. 156/3
  • 43.5 The batsman flicks it away with a wristy shot. They pick up a single.
  • 43.4 That was close! Shorter delivery around off, Iqbal goes for the cut. Gets it just past the diving Australian skipper at first slip for a couple. That was not a million miles away from Smith...

  • Welcome back for the post-lunch session. Australia will be hoping to start in a similar manner as in the morning, while the hosts will want the two batsmen out there in the middle to continue for as long as possible. Tamim Iqbal to face Ashton Agar first up. A slip and a short leg in place. Here we go...
  • ... Day 1, Session 2 ...
  • The track is such that neither side can be counted out for the moment. The deck is spitting venom and batting will keep on getting tougher. Australia will not be too disappointed with the run rate and will concentrate more on bowling in the right areas. The spinners don't have any wickets to show but they have bowled well. With two left-handers batting, might not be a bad idea to just try out Maxwell for a bit. Join us back at 1240 local (0640 GMT) for the second session.
  • The highly consistent Tamim Iqbal, who was watching partners disappear within the blink of an eye, was joined by the number 1 all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan. Both are playing their 50th Test and have not disappointed so far. Tamim has been more cautious of the two while Shakib has been flirting with danger, playing his shots. However, they have come off and the result is that the home side has recovered from a precarious position to one of stability with the current stand reading 86.
  • An entertaining session of cricket! It was Australia in the first hour, as they started the day in a tremendous manner. Cummins picked up three quick wickets, thanks to a couple of loose shots. At 10/3, it seemed like an age-old story with visitors coming in Bangladesh and putting them in trouble. But it was not to be.

  • 50-run stand between Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan! These two veterans have done a really good job of building a partnership after the initial stutter. They will need to carry on if Bangladesh hope to reach a competitive score.
  • 20.1 In the air... safe! Lyon floats it up outside off, Shakib kneels down to bring out the sweep but gets a top edge instead. The ball goes high in the air but lands safely near the fine leg region. The fielder was there in the deep but was a bit squarer. They take a couple. Australia, who are short of match practice will hope to start the series on a high. Stay tuned for the toss.

Or will we see an inspirational bowling display from the Aussies? Join us shortly to find out what happens next...
  • So Bangladesh have finally managed to wrap things up. Shakib Al Hasan was the best of the lot as the all-rounder once again displayed a classical performance, picking up a 5-fer. Do join us shortly to catch all the action from the second session...

  • It's time to get underway then. The overnight batsmen make their way out to the middle along with the Bangladesh players. Mehedi Hasan to bowl first up to Matt Renshaw. A slip, short leg and a silly point in place. Here we go...
  • PITCH REPORT - Athar Ali Khan doing the pitch report says the rough is opening up. Adds apart from the spinners, Mustafizur Rahman would be the key for Bangladesh. Further says if he can pitch the ball in the right areas, it will become all too difficult for the batsmen. Ends by saying, yesterday it was tough, today and for the days to come it will only get tougher.
  • Remember, Steven Smith scored a classic ton against India in Pune earlier this year on a similar kind of wicket and he would look to replicate something like that again. The hosts would be all charged up and raring to go in with the crowd right behind them. An important update - the weather looks awesome to kick off proceedings for the day and let's hope it remains the same throughout. Stay tuned as the action isn't far away.
  • Hello and a warm welcome for day 2 of this first Test between Bangladesh and Australia. The hosts have a firm grip on this match as they have scalped 3 quick wickets to dent the momentum that the Aussies had after the first innings. With the pitch expected to deteriorate further, it's safe to say that the Aussies have their task cut out. A lot of hopes shall be pinned on skipper Smith if they are to evade from this situation.
  • ... Day 2, Session 1 ...
  • Renshaw and Smith are out in the middle and it will require a huge effort from these two to bail their side out of the early trouble. The hosts are sitting pretty on top and their spinners would be licking their lips to go out and deliver. The only worry is about the weather which doesn't look promising for the days to come. Let's hope it holds up and we get to witness a great encounter between these two sides. Join us tomorrow at 1000 local (0400 GMT) to catch all the action, saying again, weather permitting. Until then, it's goodbye and take care. Cheers!
  • Phew! What a session it turned out to be. Bangladesh have come out roaring with the cherry and have posed a serious threat to the mighty Aussies. After getting bundled out for 260, courtesy a massive 155-run stand between Tamim and Shakib, they have not let the visitors settle down. Rahim didn't waste anytime in bringing his spinners on, on a wicket that is turning, bouncing, staying low and causing all sorts of trouble for the batsmen. Mehedi Hasan was the first one to take the wicket and after that it seemed like a procession. Khawaja was dismissed via an unnecessary run out while nightwatchman, Nathan Lyon couldn't do the job he was sent for.
  • 8.6 Quicker one fired around the pads, flicked past mid-wicket for a couple to end the day. STUMPS ON DAY 1! 18/3
  • 8.5 Drops it a bit short and outside off, Smith punches it towards extra cover.
  • 8.4 Flighted full delivery on off, Steven bunts it back to the bowler.

  • 8.2 Tossed up around off, pushed back to the bowler.
  • 8.1 Lunges forward and defends it into the ground.
  • 7.6 Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat. 16/3
  • 7.5 Renshaw takes a stride forward and pads it away. He's offered no stroke but it was clearly pitching outside leg. A stifled appeal is denied.
  • 7.4 Gets across and works it towards mid on for a single.
  • 7.3 Darting in from around middle, Renshaw looks to defend but the ball squirts off the inner edge past fine leg. A single is taken.
  • 7.2 Flatter outside off, Renshaw defends it off the back foot.
  • 7.1 Fuller around off, defended by coming froward.
  • Skipper Steven Smith walks out next.
  • 6.6 OUT! The Nightwatchman departs as well. Shakib drifts it from around middle, Lyon takes a stride forward to defend but he plays that one down the wrong line. Is hit on the pads and the umpire has no harm in raising his finger to an LBW appeal. Lyon doesn't even wait, just walks off. Bangladesh are on a roll here. 14/3
  • 6.5 The batsman has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
  • 6.4 Fires it full and outside off, it's left alone.
  • 6.3 Drifting in from around middle, Lyon misses it and is hit on the pads. A stifled appeal is turned down.
  • 6.2 Gets behind the line and defends it down.
  • Nathan Lyon is making his way out in the middle.
  • 6.1 OUT! Run Out! The Bangla crowd is screaming at the top of their voices! This is a real waste of a wicket. Shakib floats it up around off, Khawaja comes forward to defend but the ball goes off the gloves through the vacant silly point region. Usman sets off for a run without even looking at his partner. Rahim charges towards the ball and now Renshaw sends him back. The former throws the ball at the stumps at his end where Soumya Sarkar collects the ball, dives and manages to dislodge the bails in the second attempt as Khawaja puts in a dive. They appeal and it's taken upstairs. Replays find Khawaja short of his ground. Australia in trouble.
  • There is complete drama here in the middle. The umpires have gone upstairs to check for a run out appeal against Usman Khawaja. Will his dive save him?
  • 5.6 FOUR! Easy pickings! Short and wide outside off, Renshaw goes back and slaps it through point for a boundary to end to what has been an eventful over. 14/1
  • 5.5 Another loud appeal! Slider around middle and leg, Renshaw misses his flick and is hit on the pads. They appeal but this time it was going down leg.
  • 5.4 Darts it in from around middle, clipped through mid on for a single.
  • Usman Khawaja will bat at number 3!
  • 5.3 OUT! Gone next ball! Warner can't believe as he stands there in disappointment. He doesn't take the review this time and starts to walk back. A flatter delivery, sliding in, David Warner goes back to defend but misses and wears it on the back pad. Once again a loud appeal and once again it's ruled out by the umpire. Replays confirm there was no bat involved and the Ball Tracker shows it's in line and would have gone on to clip the leg stump. So, the umpire's call stays. Mehedi Hasan draws first blood.
  • 5.2 NOT OUT! David Warner is confident as he opts for the review almost instantly. A slider around middle, Warner comes forward to defend as he was playing for the spin but the ball skids on with the arm and hits him on the pads. • 4.2 Fuller on off, patted through covers for a single.
  • 4.1 A loud shout for a caught behind! Shakib tosses it up outside off, Warner pays no interest as he gets down to play the reverse sweep. The ball goes off something towards the man at first slip and the Bangladesh fielders go up in unison. The umpire shakes his head. Replays show it went off the thigh pad. But Warner should be careful here as the day is about to end.
  • Spin from both ends now. Bangladesh are on the charge as they bring in Shakib Al Hasan into the attack.
  • 3.6 This one didn't rise at all. Fuller outside off, it stays really, really low. Renshaw looks to defend but gets a bottom edge towards Rahim as the ball ricochets onto the stumps. 8/0

  • 0.5 Length delivery around leg, Warner tries to defend it. Gets beaten and is hit on the pads. The players appeal but the umpire is not interested. Replays show that there was an inside edge.
  • 0.4 FOUR! Don't waste time says Warner! Short and wide outside off, David slaps it square of the wicket on the off side for a boundary.
  • 0.3 Fuller delivery around off, Renshaw guides it through the gully region for a single.
  • 0.2 Great line! Bowls this around off, straightens a touch. Renshaw shuffles across to defend only to get beaten.
  • 0.1 Hurls this one in the line of the pads, Warner is off the mark as he clips it towards fine leg for a single.
  • The hosts still have an upper hand in this contest and their hopes shall be pinned on their ace-bowler, Shakib Al Hasan to rip through. Australia are already under the pump and chasing such a stiff target in deadly spinning conditions won't be easy by any means. With still over 30 overs remaining in the day and two full days to go, a result is a surety. Will we see Bangladesh creating history? Stay tuned as the chase will get underway in a very short while...
  • So, Australia have wrapped it up quickly after the tea break. The wrecker-in-chief, Nathan Lyon weaved his magic by picking up a 6-fer and was undoubtedly the best of the lot. Ashton Agar got two while Cummins impressed one and all. Bangladesh did a commendable job with the bat as Tamim Iqbal led the way, scoring back-to-back fifties. The skipper contributed to a great effect while Mehedi Hasan in the end swung his bat around to help his side set a target of 265.
  • 79.3 OUT! That's the final nail in the coffin! Lyon picks another one and he has bowled tremendously well here! Tosses this one around off, spins into the batsman. Mehedi Hasan skips down the track to go over the top on the leg side. Does not middle it and the ball balloons towards the fielder at deep square leg. • Mustafizur Rahman is the last man in.
  • 77.5 OUT! 10th fifer for Nathan Lyon in Tests! Tosses this one around off and the ball spins into the batsman. Islam tries to defend it by coming forward but gets it straight towards the fielder at short leg off the inner half. Handscomb goes low to his right and takes a really fine catch. The replays show that it was a one-handed catch, absolutely superb! Lyon gets his 5th fifer in Asia and has weaved his magic here.

  • ... Day 3, Session 3 ...
  • A good passage of play for Australia but Bangladesh are still pretty on top in this game. Agreed, they lost wickets in a cluster towards the end of this session but at the same time they have managed to take the lead close to 250. This should boost them all the more as anything above it will be considered as a tough target. The Aussies can't relax and they very well know it. Will it be a matter of time before they come out to bat? Or will the Bangladeshi tail wag and frustrate them further? Come back shortly to find out...

To only make matters worse, their front-line pacer, Hazlewood is off the field due to a side strain. With already a lead of 176 runs, the hosts would be looking to swell it to a target as big as possible and bat the visitors out of the game. Will they be able to do so? Join us back for the post-lunch session to find out...

  • Hello and a warm welcome to the coverage of the 3rd day of the first Test between Bangladesh and Australia. The hosts have been the dominating lot till now and are on top in this game. A good batting performance today will set the perfect platform for them to script their first ever Test win against Australia.
  • ... Day 3, Session 1 ...
  • The wicket is expected to break down even more tomorrow and Australia will be the last one to bat on. Anything in excess of 200 or 250 could decide the fate of the match. Let's hope for an exciting battle and more than that the weather to stay the way it has been till now. So don't forget to join us tomorrow morning at 1000 local (0400 GMT) to see what's going to happen next. Until then, it's goodbye from us. Cheers!
  • When the hosts came out to bat, they had 22 overs to play with and their openers did exceedingly well and could have gone into day 3 unscathed but a brain-fade from Soumya Sarkar gave the much-needed breakthrough to the Aussies. Tamim Iqbal is out there and is looking really comfortable. His side would be hoping that he converts this into a big one. Steven Smith, on the other side, will need to share some inspiring words so that his bowlers come out firing tomorrow morning and give their batters some chance.
  • End of an intriguing day of Test cricket! A day filled with too much of action, too much drama and too much appeals. In the end it's Bangladesh who are right on top and are effectively 88/1. They did a fabulous job to wrap the Aussie innings and gain a handy 43-run lead, all thanks to their spinners - Shakib and Mehedi. The former in particular was the destroyer-in-chief as he bagged yet another Test five-fer.

  • 20.1 OUT! In the air... gone! Why on earth would you play a shot like that when the day is about to end? Absolutely needless! But what happened to Khawaja there? He's managed to hold onto that one. Coming to the ball, tossed up delivery outside off, Soumya Sarkar jumps out of the crease to go big down the ground but mistimes it high in the air towards long on. Khawaja there, backpedals a touch, keeps his eyes on the ball and tries to take a reverse cup catch. The ball pops out of his hands, he then sticks his left hand out but once again the ball doesn't stick. It then rolls onto his body as he crouches low to take it inches above the ground. Good awareness, he made a simple catch look stunning. Anyway, Sarkar departs. Agar draws first blood.

  • So, twice in two days we have seen the underdog teams coming out on top. If it was West Indies toppling the Englishmen last night, it's Bangladesh today who has surprised the world. They have now won a Test match against 5 Test playing nations - Zimbabwe, West Indies, Sri Lanka, England, and now Australia. They continue to rise and the near future looks bright for them. These two sides will meet again for the second Test in Chittagong on September 8, at 1000 local (0400 GMT). Can the hosts create another history by winning the series? Or will Australia come back hard to level it? We shall find out. Till then, Adios! Cheers!
  • Man of the Match, Shakib Al Hasan (translated from Bengali) is really delighted to contribute for his side. Gives a big round of applause to the crowd that came in huge numbers to support them. Tells us about the incident that happened last night, how his wife showed immense confidence in him as he was the one who felt that they won't be able to beat Australia today.
  • Mushfiqur Rahim says that it is a great feeling beating Australia. Recalls that they lost the first Test against England but came back stronger to beat them in the second. Emphasizes on the fact that they are looking forward for the next game.
  • The home side got a lead of 43 runs and once again the veteran opener, Tamim Iqbal delivered for his side. Had it not been for Nathan Lyon's 6-fer, Australia would have had a challenge even more steeper. They kept the hosts to 265 and after losing two quick wickets early yesterday, they were pretty much into the contest until their weakness against the spin prevailed and that ultimately led to their downfall. Stay tuned as the presentation is coming up in a short while...
  • The Bangladeshi spinners kept the pressure on even when Pat Cummins was threatening to take his team over the line. In the end, Australia fell short of 20 runs and find themselves 0-1 down in the series. Earlier in the game, Bangladesh won a good toss but were rocked early at 10-3 on day 1. They recovered well through a 155-run stand between Tamim and Shakib which helped them to get 260 on the board. Australia's reply was pretty ordinary with the bat but the way their tail bailed them out is something that they will be happy about.
  • Australia came into day 4, requiring 156 to win with their two set batsmen out in the middle. David Warner and Steven Smith did the job commendably in the first hour as the former registered his ton and all was rosy for the visitors until the no. 1 all-rounder in the world stepped on the gas. Yes, Shakib Al Hasan turned the match upside down by removing Warner and from thereon the men from Down Under got exposed. They succumbed to pressure, kept losing wickets in clusters and thereby gave an opening to the hosts.

Hasan loops it up around middle, Lyon once again opts for the sweep shot. Gets a bit of glove on it as the ball lobs over the keeper. Good anticipation shown there by Sarkar. He was at first slip and so he quickly sprints towards leg slip, stretches out both his hands but could not hold onto it. He then got both his hands under the ball to gobble it. Bangladesh just a wicket away from victory.

  • ... Day 4, Session 2...
  • Taijul Islam also supported the world number 1 all-rounder by picking up two crucial wickets. Currently Maxwell and Cummins (the last recognized pair) are battling it out in the middle and the Aussies will hope that they can see their side through. With Cricket Australia confirming that Hazlewood can bat, the visitors have another wicket up their sleeve. Bangladesh on the other hand will look to keep things simple and attack the stumps to pick up the remaining three wickets. Effectively the final session awaits.
  • The crucial wicket of Warner has changed the course of the game. He was the difference between the two sides yesterday and once he departed after scoring a ton, the visitors fell apart losing 5 wickets for 37 runs. He weaved his magic and ended up picking 4 crucial wickets to dent the momentum that the Aussies had.
