At 80, veteran singer Asha Bhosle is set to make her debut in the world of films with Mai, but in an emotional interview she revealed that the scars left by the suicide of her daughter Varsha last year would never heal.
The singer's daughter Varsha had committed suicide at her residence in south Mumbai last October when Bhosle was out of town to attend a function.
An emotional Bhonsle confessed to Editor-in-Chief of CNN IBN, Rajdeep Sardesai, in an interview that the scars from the incident wouldn't heal.
" It is sad that my daughter could not see my film (Mai). Let me tell you something, I do not know about God's judgement, in fact his judgements are sometimes harsh when he delivers it. The pain that the girl (Varsha) has caused me or God has caused me, will hurt me till I die, it will be invisible to the others though, because you should always laugh with others but cry alone. So that is why I do not talk about my grief or try to show my pain, " she said.
"But the wound that it has caused will never heal, " the veteran singer said.
Bhosle said one should face all difficulties in life with resilience.
