Actor-director Kamal Haasan, whose film Vishwaroopam has been the subject of much controversy, said on Thursday that he would not approach the Supreme Court just yet as he was till hopeful that a settlement could be reached with the state government.
Speaking to media shortly before he departed to Mumbai to promote Vishwaroopam, which is releasing there in Hindi, Haasan said that his friends in the industry were trying to intervene by speaking to the state government.
"I am still hopeful. I cannot comment on the matter because it is before the court, but I am hopeful", he told the gathered journalists, before confirming that he would "wait and see" before deciding on whether or not he would move the Supreme Court.
Haasan added that he was still hurt at the developments and controversy surrounding the film, but reiterated that he was still calm.
