There has been a lot of speculation on who will be playing the female lead in Aanand L Rai's upcoming film in which Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a dwarf's role.
Recently, Mumbai Mirror had reported that Katrina Kaif will be cast opposite Khan in the film that will be titled Bandhua. The tabloid also reported that Deepika Padukone, who was earlier considered for the role, was quite miffed at the development.
However, the director clarified to PTI that the actress has not been confirmed yet.
"We can't confirm anything at this stage. It is too soon to talk about it," Aanand said.
He also said that the film's name is not Bandhua.
"The title of my film with Shah Rukh Khan is not Bandhua, as being referred to by the media. The film is yet untitled and we will make an official announcement of the title once it is locked."
There has been a lot of back and forth on whether Katrina Kaif will be doing this role. Earlier reports suggested that the Fitoor actress would be featuring in the film until Deepika Padukone's name began doing the rounds. Now we seem to be back to Katrina Kaif. Apart from them, other actresses like Kangana Ranaut, Parineeti Chopra and Sonam Kapoor have also been said to be in the run up to get this role.
Now we really cannot wait to know who will finally be Shah Rukh's lady in this film.
The film will go on floors after Khan completes the shoot for Imtiaz Ali's The Ring, and will hit the screens on 21 December, 2018.
