Westworld season 2 trailer: 'We can burn it to the ground', says Even Rachel Wood in an eerie, chilling teaser trailer
HBO's Westworld is returning for a second season.
The series, created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, has been one of the most talked about shows ever since its debut in 2016. It also has the most-watched first season for an HBO show ever beating True Detective which premiered back in 2014.
And, now, HBO has teased the second season of Westworld in an advertisement which during the Superbowl on 4 February.
Very little can be understood from the teaser trailer of the show. We hear a voice-over of Evan Rachel Wood’s character Dolores backed by a cover of Kanye West’s 'Runaway'.
"We built this world together, this world where dreams come true. We can burn it to the ground. From the ashes, build a new world. Our world," she says as men with guns take out a herd of synthetic creatures before being trampled themselves.
We also get to see gorgeous landscapes of what seems to be Westworld, but it eventually turns into fast moving fragments of robotic bulls and dramatic chaos.
Westworld — which is based on Michael Crichton’s novel and subsequent 1973 movie — is a science-fiction thriller that focuses on a theme park that guests could visit to live out their role-playing fantasies. Westworld‘s 10-episode second season will premiere on 22 April. You can watch the teaser trailer below.
