Back in the hay day, Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna were considered rivals.
Their films and stardom has its own set of fans, and they almost never merged. However, as time passed, news of this alleged rivalry also subsided.
Amitabh and Vinod Khanna have done many movies together: Reshma Aur Shera, Kunwara Baap, Hera Pheri, Amar Akhbar Anthony, and Muqadar Ka Sikandar to name a few. It didn't matter what kind of a cinephile you were back in the 70s; between Bachchan and Khanna (quite the hunks, these two) there were a range of films to give the era of cinema much pizzazz, talent and memories.
Khanna passed away after battling bladder cancer on 27 April, 2017, and according to sources, Amitabh Bachchan was giving interviews for his upcoming film Sarkar 3.
He reportedly left his interview mid way to rush to hospital to be with Khanna's family.
There have been many throwback pictures of the two actors circulating on social media off late, especially since the news of Khanna being hospitalised surfaced. Here are a few"

On April 7, Bachchan had tweeted this, and it seems rather like a premonition of sorts: "Strange is it not, that the passing of the near and dear and colleagues, coerces one to start questioning one’s own longevity"
