Veteran Tamil actor Shanmuga Sundaram passes away; Kollywood mourns his demise
Tamil cinema veteran Shanmuga Sundaram breathed his last on 15 August. According to a report by The New Indian Express, the actor was ailing for quite some time.
Sundaram began his acting career with Sivaji Ganesan's 1963 movie, Ratha Thilagam where he reportedly played the role of a Chinese army man, as per The Times of India's report. Some of his most memorable performances are in films like Karagattakaran, Singaravelan, Kizhakku Vaasal, Chennai 28 and Goa to name a few.
Apart from films, he was also active on television. Some of the TV shows that he had worked in include Annamalai, Selvi and Arasi.
He was last seen in Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan.
After news of the actor's demise, his friends, fans posted condolence messages on social media, terming it a great loss to the film fraternity.
