The makers of Kabir Khan's upcoming period drama Tubelight have released yet another poster which amounts a teaser to the teaser of the film that is scheduled to release tomorrow on 4 May.
In the poster, Salman Khan and his younger brother Sohail Khan, who also play brothers in the film, are holding each other's hands and rejoicing atop a bus, which is traveling from Jagatpur in Odisha to Rnaikhet in Uttarakhand. Thus, they are well on their way to China.
Tubelight is set during the Indo China War of 1962 but as Kabir clarified in an exclusive interview to Firstpost, the film is not a war film as war is not even the setting. It is merely a background. "The setting is remotely away from the war site. We do not explore why the war happened, how it happened. There is just one character who goes to the war." While that character could be Sohail's, the stills of the film released so far suggest that it is Salman's.
Also, the poster also features two young boys, with their back towards the camera, atop the bus along with Salman and Sohail. This may hint at their childhood and how the two grew up together as their bonding managed to stand the test of time.
As far as the detailing is concerned, the bus has been done up very well keeping in mind the time period the film is set in. Since Kabir is known for his documentary style film making, or as he puts it that his films travel with him, Tubelight seems to be no exception.
In fact, just like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, that released in 2015, this Kabir-Salman collaboration could be yet another game changer for the actor and might catapult him to the top of the mountain again.
Tubelight also stars Chinese actor Zhu Zhu, the late Om Puri and a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. It is co-produced by Kabir and Salman Khan Films and is slated to release this Eid on 25 June.
