Trivikram and Jr NTR collaboration confirmed; upcoming film will start rolling from March
Filmmaker Trivikram, undeterred by the recent debacle of his last outing Agnyaathavaasi, has shifted his focus on his next yet-untitled Telugu project with Jr. NTR.
On Wednesday, it was officially announced that the project will roll from March onwards and if everything goes as planned; it might hit the screens for Diwali 2018.
The film marks the maiden collaboration of Trivikram and NTR, who is basking in the success of his last release Jai Lava Kusa.
The film was officially launched last October in a customary ceremony in Hyderabad. Pawan Kalyan, who was then shooting for Agnyaathavaasi, had presided over as the chief guest of the event. NTR’s wife Lakshmi Pranathi and son Abhay Ram also attended the launch puja.
“The pre-production work has already begun and the regular shooting will commence from March first or second week. Be assured to see NTR in a very interesting characters and the team has been heavily guarding information with regards to the role in the film. NTR will undergo an image makeover and the team is yet to zero in on a look. The rest of the cast is in the process of being finalised,” a source told Firstpost.
Following the successful collaboration in Agnyaathavaasi, Trivikram has joined hands once again with composer Anirudh Ravichander in this project. Despite the failure of the Pawan Kalyan starrer, Anirudh’s music in the film was one of the major highlights.
Anirudh is thrilled to be reuniting with Trivikram. “Really happy to be collaborating with Trivikram again after PSPK25,” Anirudh said.
Amidst rumours that Anu Emmanuel, who was part of Agnyaathavaasi, might be retained for this project as well, the source clarified that the makers haven’t finalised the leading lady yet.
“They’re still in talks with a few actresses. The team will soon take a call on whom to rope in. Official announcement can be expected very soon.” Haarika Hassine will bankroll the project on a lavish budget.
