Transformers - The Last Knight tells the history of Autobots: Watch the trailer
The new trailer of Transformers: The Last Knight takes us back to the moment it all began. Anthony Hopkins character talks about the history of Autobots, "It started as a legend. One of the greatest of all. A thousand years we’ve kept it hidden to protect earth from what was destined to arrive."
Humans and Transformers are at war, and Optimus Prime is gone. Hopkins chips in to say "These are troubled times. Without leaders, chaos reigns. Two worlds colliding… the imminent destruction of everything we know and love begins."
In a letter to the fans back in February 2017, Bay reflected on his 10-year history with the Transformers franchise and how he and the writers' room's efforts to expand the mythology, from the beginning of the world throughout history, was not the easiest task in the world.
He also stated the key plot point of the film: That the film will be about an unlikely alliance between Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
The upcoming film stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Hopkins, Laura Haddock, Jerrod Carmichael, Isabela Moner and Stanley Tucci, John Turturro, Santiago Cabrera in what Bay promises to be his final time directing a Transformers title.
