VIP 2 is the story of a married man who faces trouble finding a stable job which earns him good money, until Kajol's bossy and arrogant character is introduced on screen and the two are involved in one massive showdown all throughout the movie, until Raghuvaran (Dhanush) bests Vasundhara (Kajol).
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha tackles the issue of open defecation in India, and the lack of proper sanitation in rural areas. The film is about the relationship between Kumar and Pednekar's characters. After the two of them get married, Pednekar realises that her husband's house does not have a toilet installed within the premises, leading her character to threaten leaving her husband if he doesn't find a way out of the situation.
