The Firstpost Show this week had the judging panel of The Stage Season 2 on Colors Infinity: Vishal Dadlani, Ehsaan Noorani, Monica Dogra and Devraj Sanyal and host Shibani Dandekar, in a fun conversation with Renil Abraham.
The episode started off with a conversation about drama on Indian television. Vishal said that this was the right time to answer this question since they had just finished shooting an elimination episode. Monica added that there is drama and it is absolutely great because this indeed is an opportunity of a lifetime. She said that in an industry that is dominated by Bollywood, The Stage is India's first ever international singing reality show and that in itself is dramatic. Shibani concluded that unlike other shows which are scripted and situations are created, The Stage is natural and completely legitimate.
They went to speak about how they finally decide on something when there is a difference in opinion. Devraj Sanyal said that they argue till they reach a unanimous decision. Renil wanted to know Shibani's take on this. She added that sometimes it is a pain because they argue every episode and it's difficult to handle after 16-hour shoot schedules. She went to add, 'The reason I respect them is because they are doing this (show) in order to help the artists, on-stage or off-stage, in whatever way possible.'
The discussion took a much more fun turn when they started discussing the reactions that the judges have got back from contestants on reality shows while giving them feedback.
