Comedian Sunil Pal, of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge fame, expressed his displeasure against Mubarakan director Anees Bazmee, accusing him of non-payment of dues. The comedian posted a video of his Facebook page, in which he speaks about the incident at length. He even starts off by making sarcastic remarks at Bazmee's latest outing, Mubarakan, as per Times of India.
Pal says before Bazmee had started shooting for Mubarakan, the director approached him for a show at a family gathering.
According to Pal, Bazmee had said he would not be able to pay what Pal usually charges for a show. However, in the end, the deal was finalised for a particular sum of amount.
The comedian was also communicating with Mayur Borat, the filmmaker's partner, who was equally vehement in persuading Pal to do the show.
According to Pal's side of the story, he never received the amount that the two parties had agreed upon. Bazmee stopped taking his calls and when he approached Borat, all he got in return was some more excuses. When the comedian threatened to file a complaint, Bazmee remained unaffected.
In the 3-minute-clip, Pal also links the failure of Mubarakan to Bazmee's poor work ethic. The director is yet to comment on the fiasco.
