If there's an underlying wave that connects the leading ladies of the Hindi film industry today, it's their fascination towards music and singing.
Alia Bhatt crooned the popular 'Samjhawan' from Shashank Khaitan's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and 'Ikk Kudi' from Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab. Similarly, Shraddha Kapoor sang 'Galiyan' in Mohit Suri's Ek Villain and a few songs of Shujaat Saudagar's Rock On 2. Parineeti Chopra also has a soft corner for singing just liker her cousin Priyanka Chopra.
Sonakshi Sinha has also crooned a couple of singles in the past. She sang 'Aaj Mood Ishqoholic Hai' for T-Series and 'Rajj Rajj Ke' for her film, AR Murugadoss' Akira. Now, Bollywood Hungama reports that she is all set to sing another track for her next, Sunil Sippy's Noor, in which she plays the titular character.
Going with the theme of the film, the song titled 'MYL' will be based on the unspoken bond of friendship. She will be seen alongside her real-life friends and vocalists Badshah and Diljit Dosanjh in the song. Mumbai Mirror reports that she has been planning to collaborate with Badshah for a year now. Interestingly, she has collaborated with his rival, Yo Yo Honey Singh in the super hit 'Desi Kalakar'.
Also, she will be soon globetrotting with Badshah in Salman Khan's 'Da-Bangg The Tour'. They will join Khan, Bipasha Basu, Prabhudeva, Manish Paul and Daisy Shah and will perform in Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne starting form 14 April, as reported by India.com.
Prior to the tour, Sinha will wrap up the shooting of the song with Dosanjh and Badshah who have previously given hits like 'Proper Patola'. Bollywood Life reports that the song will be produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and choreographed by Adil Sheikh who won the Filmfare Award for Best Choreography for 'Kar Gayi Chul' from Shakun Batra's Kapoor & Sons from last year.
Noor also stars Purab Kohli and Shibani Dandekar. It marks the acting debut of comedian Kanan Gill. It is slated to release on 21 April.
