Solo teaser: Dulquer Salmaan plays rage-filled army officer in this bilingual anthology
One of Bangalore Days star Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming projects is Solo, a bilingual film shot in Tamil and Malayalam. It is directed and produced by Bejoy Nambiar under his banner Gateway Films and touted as an anthology film made up of interconnected stories. In a recently released trailer, viewers were given a glimpse into what seems to be one of the plot lines.
We are introduced to Salmaan's Rudra, an army officer whose love interest is played by Neha Sharma. We see him undergo training and bond with his fellow soldiers, and also witness how his relationship with Sharma goes downhill, but the reason for this is not revealed.
Dulquer Salmaan will play multiple roles in this film, and actor-director R Parthiepan is said to have a major part in the film. Also starring in Solo are Nasser, Suhasini ManiRatnam, Suresh Menon, Sujata Sehgal, Manit Joura, Dino Morea and Deepti Sati.
"Solo is a very courageous film. Making an anthology series is not a simple task. We had to put in the effort of making four films. Solo has great visuals, great music and I am very lucky to be a part of this project," Salmaan said at an event.
Dulquer Salmaan is also set to make his Bollywood debut in a film produced by Ronnie Screwvala where he stars alongside Irrfan Khan and web series actress Mithila Palkar.
