Sidharth Malhotra is a busy actor. He is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming romantic action film A Gentleman with Jacqueline Fernandez. The shoot of Neeraj Pandey's thriller Aiyaary, wherein he will be seen alongside Manoj Bjpayee is also underway. Now, in a Mumbai Mirror interview, the actor has confirmed that he and Alia Bhatt will be starring in Aashiqui 3.
Aashiqui 3 will be the third installment of the franchise. The first installment had released in 1990, after which there came Mohit Suri's 2013 directorial Aashiqui 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Malhotra and Bhatt and made their Bollywood debut together alongside Varun Dhawan in Student Of The Year.
Commenting on the regular comparisons made between him and Dhawan in particular, he said comparison is inevitable. However, he worked extremely hard, gave countless auditions to reach where he is today.
About the seeming resemblance between A Gentleman and Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bang Bang!, Malhotra clarifies that the makers have been consistently maintaining that their film has nothing to do with the 2014 action comedy film. They just happen to have been produced under the same banner, Fox Star Studios. The whole interview can be read here.
