Vishal Bhardwaj has started working on his upcoming film, which will reportedly revolve around the relationship between two sisters. According to DNA, the director is considering Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Kriti Sanon and Sonakshi Sinha for the primary roles. Some reports suggest that the film is called Churiya. However, there is no confirmation from the director yet about the film's title.
Bhardwaj is known for re-writing classic tales in a hard-hitting fashion, which often startles the audience. His characters are often muddled in multiple conflicts, which give his films more dimensions than most mainstream movies.
His last film Rangoon, starring Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles, performed poorly at the box office. However, it seems like the film's failure to leave a mark at the box office has not weakened the director's spirit.
The four actresses in question have reportedly already met the director and undergone a look test, as per the same report. Bhardwaj is, however, yet to finalise the actors for the role.
Out of the lot, the director has only worked with Shraddha Kapoor in his 2014 film Haider, which had Shahid Kapoor in the male lead role.
Apart from this film, the director is also producing another film based on mafia queen Sapna Didi, which features Deepika Padukone as the lead character.
