'Sherlock' season 4 trailer: No need to wait till 2017; Benedict Cumberbatch is back
The San Diego Comic Con was candy land for the typical nerd. Along with trailers for new Marvel shows like Luke Cage, The Defenders, Iron Fist; we also got our first look at the trailers for DC’s Wonder Woman and Justice League.
Benedict Cumberbatch fans, or ‘Cumberbitches’ as they call themselves were not disappointed as well. Though the season 4 of the British drama doesn’t debut till 2017, they got a glimpse of the upcoming action in a teaser trailer.
In the teaser, we see the sleuth’s exile from the UK is put on hold as he tries to stop his arch nemesis Moriarty from wreaking havoc who was presumed dead by Holmes in the 2016 Christmas special, The Abominable Bride.
The problem is this time, the usually cocky Sherlock doesn’t know how to stop Moriarty. Complicating matters further is Toby Jones, who will be joining the show as another one of Arthur Conan Doyle’s villains.
The trailer promises that “everything they know will be tested” and teases an intense, surprisingly action-heavy fourth season that seems more Ian Fleming than Arthur Conan Doyle.
