Shah Rukh Khan on working with Imtiaz Ali: 'He states the obvious, but not too obviously'
It was only a matter of time before Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali collaborated on a film. Both of them are known for their respective brands of onscreen romance and their combined creative energy was bound to spell magic on the silver screen.
At the launch of the song 'Beech Beech Mein' from their upcoming romantic comedy Jab Harry Met Sejal, Shah Rukh drew an interesting analogy to share why he always looked forward to working with Imtiaz.
"This tattoo that I am sporting in the film is probably the longest that I have used for a role (sic). Since my character in the film is from Punjab, he has the 'Ek Onkar' symbol as his tattoo. But in no part of the film, can you see the full tattoo. You can only see parts of it. This is how Imtiaz functions. He just wants that tattoo to be there, but does not want to show it completely. It is like stating the obvious not too obviously," said Shah Rukh.
Jab Harry Met Sejal also stars Anushka Sharma, Sayani Gupta and Evelyn Sharma. It is produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment. It is slated to release on 4 August this year.
