Shah Rukh Khan-Imtiaz Ali film to be called The Ring, clash with Akshay Kumar's Crack?
Will Imtiaz Ali's film with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma be called The Ring?
Reports suggest that the filmmaker is considering the title for the movie, which currently has the working title of 'Production No. 52'.
Ever since Shah Rukh announced that he would be doing a film with Ali, there has been plenty of interest in the project. SRK has previously said that this will be an "unconventional love story".
There haven't been too many details about the film released so far, which features Anushka Sharma opposite Khan.
Mumbai Mirror had recently reported that Sharma's character is Gujarati and is undergoing diction training for the same. Shah Rukh's character is apparently a Punjabi tourist guide, who meets Sharma while she is vacationing in Europe.
Shah Rukh will start work on The Ring before he starts work on Aanand L Rai's film, in which he plays a dwarf. Anushka will wrap up her home production Phillauri and then move on to Imtiaz's project. Her next big release is Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which will be in theatres this September.
Anushka and Shah Rukh have previously worked together in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
In the meantime, news reports also suggest that The Ring may be headed for a box office clash with the Akshay Kumar-Neeraj Pandey film Crack.
Catch News says that while Kumar and Pandey have 'booked' the Independence Day weekend for Crack's release, Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh may also be looking at the same date for The Ring.
